Pubs Week is Here Again

National Pubs Week takes place this year from 19-26 February, the third year it has been run. The main aim of the campaign is to encourage more people to visit more pubs more often, especially at this quiet time of the year. With pubs continuing to close at the rate of twenty per month, they need all the help they can get.

Much of the campaigning is being done at national level and many breweries and individual pubs are taking part. Here in Cambridge CAMRA our local contribution to the campaign is the offer "We'll Find a Pub For You". Our Branch area has over 300 pubs, nearly all of which are worth visiting and all of which are unique. However it's only dedicated/bonkers CAMRA enthusiasts who, as a rule, tend to get out and about to all our local pubs. We are very happy to put this accumulated knowledge at the disposal of everybody else.

So, if there are particular things you look for or want in a pub, we'll be able to point you in the right direction. It might be a particular beer, or a type of food; you might have an especial love for unspoilt traditional pubs; perhaps you're looking for family-friendly pubs. If your preference is for miserable, dingey, keg-only dives, we can even find those for you!

Should you wish to take advantage of this offer please contact our Branch Pubs Officer, Paul Ainsworth.
